Ambuscade came to us for a complete refit back in 2018. She is a John Illingworth Merle Class sloop built in the early 70s.
The inside of the craft was completely renovated, we also added in a new galley and converted one of the side bunks into to additional storage and galley workspace with built in refrigerator.
The craft was totally re-wired, and new nav equipment installed along with new windlass.
The keel bolts were drawn and replace and several of the frames were repaired. Additional structural timber work was carried out on both port and starboard side decks. New toe rails were added and additional cleats and fair leads we added mid-ships.
The cabin decks and coach roof were striped back to timber and repainted. All the brightwork was refurbished.
The hull was striped back repairs carried out then a full repainting was undertaken.
The mast was refurbished and repainted.
The lovely classic wood yacht now has a new lease of life and will be preserved for years.
